Would you play it? I had a discussion on NBR about how
archeage gold lack many of the elitist elements found in others mmorpg (WOW included) and some people replies, "well Guild Wars 2 is free to play not pay to play".And it got me thinking, what does that mean exactly? Is it suppose to be inferior to pay to play games?Lack of mounts and raid can't be in a free to play game? So my question to you guys is would you play Guild Wars 2 if it had a monthly charge? A1:Nope. The appeal of Guild Wars is the lack of monthly fees. Always has been. I don't do monthly fees. I bought the game and that should be enough.[
wow gold]Anything with monthly fees and I don't see a reason to eventually pay £200 for a game. A2:Considering I literlaly couldn't afford it (I've only got ~$8 extra dollars per month), no. Also honestly, even if I could, I still might not. I've always been against monthly fees in MMO's to an extremist level. If I started doing it, I'd by extremely hypocrytical. A3:Would it be designed in a way that enables P2P? Grinds, time sinks and so on? If so, no.But if it was the very same GW2 that doesn't try to keep you playing&paying with all sorts of dirty tricks, I wouldn't actually mind paying.
